Lisa Wong

Lisa Wong, MD, is a practicing physician, author, and musician, dedicated to lifelong learning and to incorporating the arts into medicine and medical education. She’s an assistant professor of pediatrics at Harvard Medical School, a doctor at Milton Pediatric Associates, and is affiliated with MassGeneral Hospital for Children in Boston. An international speaker and advocate, Lisa cofounded the Arts and Humanities Initiative at Harvard Medical School and the Boston Arts Consortium for Health (BACH). She advises and serves on the boards of several arts and education organizations and for twenty years was president of the Longwood Symphony Orchestra, the orchestra of Boston’s medical community. Lisa graduated from Harvard University and NYU School of Medicine. She’s received an honorary doctorate in education from Wheelock College and a Changemaker Award from the Nonprofit Institute, and she’s the author of the book Scales to Scalpels: Doctors Who Practice the Healing Arts of Music and Medicine.
