Director/Founder & AMH Musician, Violin & Viola
Nina Falk, director and founder of A Musical Heart, is a violinist and violist. She received her musical training from the Juilliard Preparatory School, Oberlin Conservatory, and on a Fulbright fellowship in London and Rome. A former member of the Baltimore Symphony, she plays with the Bach Choir of Bethlehem, the Folger Consort, Opera Lafayette, and her ensemble, Arcovoce. Over the years she played for dying patients who were friends or family. Starting in 2010 she began playing regularly for patients in hospice, through Holy Cross Hospice, the Jewish Social Service, and Montgomery Hospice, all in Maryland.
In 2012, Nina Falk founded A Musical Heart to provide the loving comfort of live music to patients near the end of their life. She seeks to inspire musicians who feel suited to this work to share their gifts.
